NETWORK PLANNING – is a method of management that based on using of a mathematical apparatus of a graph theory and a systematic approach for displaying and algorithmizing of complexes of interrelated works to achieve a clearly defined goal. Network planning allows to determine which works, among the many that form the project, are critical and how to make the best plan for carrying out all works in order to comply with the specified deadlines at minimal cost. The activity of an engineering company are implemented through the projects, therefore the effectiveness of a project management system largely determines the success of the business in general. The mainstay of a project management system is a calendar-network schedule which reflects the common understanding and agreement of the parties about the content and technology of works, their deadlines, resource intensity and cost.

IM Consult company is developing its own software, which is a unique novelty and a new milestone in the making of a calendar-network schedule of construction and installation works. The stage of minimum viable product is a set of complete and interrelated modules that will be converted into full-fledged software in the future. MVP (minimum viable product) allows to estimate demand and supply in the market and determine the main business goals.

INTEGRATION SOLUTION (hereinafter IS), in general, is a product that, based on data from a 3D model of a construction object, in automatic mode, makes a calendar-network schedule of construction and installation works of level 4 in the environment of Oracle Primavera P6. The IS prototype is a client software that implements a Windows Forms interface, installed and hosted on a workstation, run locally. Development of IS is carried out in the Java programming language, packaged in the extension of executable files .EXE to run in Windows, DOS, Symbian OS, OS/2. The version of Java language is selected by compatibility with the package of Oracle Primavera Integration API.

The connecting link between the 3D model and Primavera is the data accumulation model (hereinafter DAM). The data accumulation model formalizes the description of the information base, which is represented by the database in the computer form. The purpose of the technological process of data accumulation is to select, create, store, update and retrieve the information fund necessary to create a calendar-network schedule for construction and installation works

In the process of choosing the stored data, the data circulating in the system is analyzed and, based on their grouping into input, intermediate and output, the composition of the stored data is determined. Thus, DAM combines the functions of a database and a calculation system.

To facilitate interoperability in the construction industry, the Industry Foundation Classes (IFC) building information model format is used, which is a data format with an open specification.
